Licensing of mobile devices

Backup of mobile devices is enabled once an Acronis Cloud Storage quota is registered in the account. You can back up unlimited number of mobile devices as long as Acronis Cloud Storage quota suffices.

Acronis Disaster Recovery Add-on licenses

Acronis Disaster Recovery service consists of several licenses that can be purchased as a Pack or separately.

Note that Acronis Disaster Recovery is only feasible for cloud deployment and requires an active Acronis Cyber Backup subscription.

More information

Subscriptions can be of 3 different editions:

• Acronis True Image 2021 Essential
• Acronis True Image 2021 Advanced
• Acronis True Image 2021 Premium.

All types are available as 1, 3 and 5 machines licenses. Each license can be used for installing Acronis True Image on Windows or Mac.

Each license allows installing Acronis True Image on any combination of PCs and Macs within the limit of machines allowed by the license; e.g a 3 machines license allows any of the following combinations:

• running Acronis True Image on 3 PCs
• running Acronis True Image on 3 Macs
• running Acronis True Image on 1 PC and 2 Macs
• running Acronis True Image on 2 PCs and 1 Mac

Acronis True Image Licenses

Standard license is unlimited in time. Annual subscription means your license is limited for 1 year. You can renew your subscription and continue using the product.

After your Acronis True Image subscription expires, all product functionality will be blocked until further subscription renewal, however, the backed up data is still accessible:

• For 5 days after the subscription expires, you can continue making backups, including backups to Acronis Cloud storage (for Advanced and Premium subscriptions)
• Within 30 days after the subscription expires you can restore data from Cloud Storage. Thirty days after subscription expiration the data in Acronis Cloud storage is destroyed.
• Local backups remain available for restore.

Mobile device is a device running iOS or Android. A tablet running Windows operating system is considered a computer.

Acronis True Image licensing applies to the number of PC/Mac machines you use the software on. If multiple operating systems are installed on the same machine (multi-boot system), one license is required for that machine, regardless of the number of disks and operating systems. Backup sources and destinations, as well as the number of backup plans, backup data, versions of backups are not limited by the license: for each protected machine you can create as many backup plans as you need, of any supported backup type. The only exception is Acronis Cloud destination: the used storage space in Acronis Cloud should be within the storage quota defined by the license.

Acronis True Image Advanced and Premium subscriptions include Acronis Cloud storage. By purchasing Acronis True Image Advanced subscription, you get 500GB Acronis Cloud storage quota. Acronis True Image Premium subscription has 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 5TB quotas. Having Acronis Cloud storage unlocks additional features like storing your backups and archived data in Acronis Cloud and accessing and sharing this data from anywhere anytime.

For Premium edition, you can increase Acronis Cloud subscription to one of the above quotas.

The quota is shared among all the machines registered in the account.

The license is based on the purchased subscription term for the specified number of machines (physical or virtual), with no restrictions on the number of mobile devices. Acronis True Image Advanced or Premium license comes with a limited amount of Acronis Cloud storage; additional Acronis Cloud Storage can be purchased by switching to a higher storage quota. Each end-user licensee may utilize no more than five (5) copies of these products at any given time.

Which products can be upgraded to Acronis True Image 2021?

If you currently have an active subscription, a new version build will be available to download for free in your account after release. The new version will be active until your current subscription expiration date.
